Once Upon A Beauty Bar is a place where beauty, comfort, and personalized attention, combined together will create a rejuvenating and memorable experiences. I believe everyone should feel pampered and that they matter. In this field you build a relationship with each client. Your client confides in you with their personal information, if they had a good day or a bad day and they entrust you with their body. You build friendships, you shed some tears and have some laughs. Being able to make people feel good is a good feeling.
About Me
My name is Chantal Clark owner and operator. I am a mom/step mom to 4 boys and 1 girl. Yes we are out numbered by boys. However, the 2 older boys are now on their own so we are down to 3 teenagers. They all get services done :)
For as long I as can remember I always wanted to become a hairdresser but never got a chance as i developed some sensitivities to products/scents. :( At 23 I met my husband who was and is my biggest supporter. He encouraged me to go back to school where I decided to become a Personal Support Worker(PSW). I worked as a PSW for 4 years until I got injured and could no longer work in that field. It sucked as I love what I did.
After taking 4 months off to heal I started working as a Bartender/Waitress. I knew I wanted to do something else with my life but could not decide. Then one day I came across the Esthetician course and knew that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I’ve always had a passion for beauty(hair, nails, makeup, art, tattoos, so on), making people feel good, meeting new people, helping other, and for seeing the beauty in everyone and everything. I have found my passion. It was a lot of work but so worth it, best decision made. My wonderful husband, family and friends gave me that extra push and supported me through my journey. I love and thank them so much for being there and for all their support. I graduated with honors from Modern College of Hairstyling and Esthetics November 2018. Since then I started my new adventure by opening up Once Upon A Beauty Bar and I have enjoyed sharing it with all of you and can't wait to share it some more.
